Apple Strudel

Ingredients:Apple Strudel
2 sheets Puff Pastry
1 410g tin Apples
300mL cream (whipped)
Custard

Method:

  1. Cut pastry sheets in half and place two sheets on top of one another.
  2. Bake in moderated oven for 20 minutes.

Custard (for Apple Strudel)

Ingredients:
500mL Milk
1 tbsp Cornflour
3 tbsp Custard Powder
2 tbsp Sugar

Method:

  1. In a saucepan place milk, cornflour, custard powder and sugar.
  2. Mix well until completely free of lumps.
  3. Place on hotplate and stir over medium heat until thick.
  4. Remove from stove and cool.
  5. Once pastry is cooked let it cool down.
  6. Place apples on one sheet, then add custard and finally top with cream.
  7. Place the other pastry on top, forming a lid.
  8. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
  9. Refrigerate.
