Rindsgulasch
Ingredients:
1kg Round Steak
1kg Onions
2 cloves of Garlic
2 tbsp of Paprika
2 tbsp of Tomato Paste
½ cup of Strong Coffee
2 tbsp of Water
¼ cup of Olive Oil
Salt
Pinch of Margoram
½ teaspoon of Caraway
2 tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar
1 tbsp of Beef Stock
2 strips of Lemon peel
Method:
- Slice onions and garlic finely. Cut beef into cubes.
- Fry onions and garlic in oil until golden brown. Add paprika and stir, then add two tablespoons of water, then stir in the meat.
- Keep stirring until water has evaporated, then add tomato puree, salt, vinegar, margoram, caraway seeds, beef stock, coffee and cover with the lid.
- Simmer very gently until meat is tender. Add lemon peel and if necessary add small quantities of water.
- Serve with Parmesan Potatoes.
