Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients:Beef Stroganoff
750g Topside Steak
60g Butter
1 clove Garlic
2 Onions (chopped)
2 tbsp Plain Flour
1½ cups Water
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
2 Beef Stock Cubes
2 teaspoons Paprika
Black Pepper
250g Mushrooms
½ cup Evaporated Milk

Method:

  1. Slice steak into thin strips.
  2. Melt butter & brown meat.
  3. Remove from pan, add garlic & onion.
  4. Return meat, stir in flour, cook for 1 minute, and then add water and tomato paste.
  5. Bring to the boil.
  6. Add stock cubes, paprika and pepper, simmer covered for 40 minutes.
  7. Add the mushrooms and simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Stir in the evaporated milk and stir until the mix boils.

    Serve with rice.
