Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients:
750g Topside Steak
60g Butter
1 clove Garlic
2 Onions (chopped)
2 tbsp Plain Flour
1½ cups Water
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
2 Beef Stock Cubes
2 teaspoons Paprika
Black Pepper
250g Mushrooms
½ cup Evaporated Milk
Method:
- Slice steak into thin strips.
- Melt butter & brown meat.
- Remove from pan, add garlic & onion.
- Return meat, stir in flour, cook for 1 minute, and then add water and tomato paste.
- Bring to the boil.
- Add stock cubes, paprika and pepper, simmer covered for 40 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the evaporated milk and stir until the mix boils.
Serve with rice.
