Antipasto
Ingredients & Method:
Grilled Italian Sausage
2 Dry Italian Sausages - sliced thin & grilled or fried
Crumbed Eggplant
2 Eggplants, sliced to approximately 1.5cm each
4 cups Breadcrumbs
2 Eggs, beaten
Salt & Pepper to season eggplants
Olive Oil (for frying)
- Dip eggplant into egg and then into breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in frypan, and fry eggplant until golden on each side.
Deep Fried Stracchino Cheese
500g Stracchino Cheese, cut into fingers
1 Egg (beaten)
2 cups of Breadcrumbs
2 cups of Canola Oil (for frying)
- Dip cheese into egg and then into breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in deep fryer.
- Fry until golden & serve hot
Turkish Garlic Bread
1 large Turkish Bread (cut into 2cm strips)
2 tbsp Parsley (finely chopped)
2 cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
60g Butter/Margarine
- Mix parsley, garlic & margine all together in a small bowl.
- Spread evenly over strips of Turkish bread.
- Toast in sandwich press, oven or grill.
- Serve hot.
